Academic life

Studies, research and projects

PhD candidate in Translation Studies at the Federal University of Ceará (POET-UFC) with a CAPES scholarship, holding a master's from the same program and teaching degrees in Portuguese/English (UFC) and Spanish (Estácio), and currently studying Computing Education (UNILAB). I coordinate the Ceará State Language Center in Baturité, train English teachers in Pacoti, and work as a translator, audio describer and dubbing translator.

My research connects Applied Linguistics, Educational Technology and Accessible Audiovisual Translation: I study audio description as the core of educational games and, since 2021, I have led the project Audio description for teaching purposes. My interests include TESOL/TEFL, audiovisual translation (audio description, subtitling, dubbing), active learning, cooperative learning, gamification and formative assessment.
